Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to use the Makerspace?

No. Every first-time maker completes a short, required orientation on the machine they plan to use. No prior laser or printing experience is necessary.

Can I bring my own materials?

Yes, as long as they're on our approved materials list for that machine. Some materials (like PVC or certain coated plastics) aren't safe to laser cut and aren't permitted. We're happy to check your material before your session.

Do you provide design help?

Basic file setup guidance is included with every session. For more involved design work, our team can also create custom artwork for an added fee — just ask when you book.

What ages can use the equipment?

Makers 16 and up may use the equipment independently after orientation. Makers under 16 are welcome with a parent or guardian present at all times.

Can I sell what I make here?

Absolutely — many of our members are small business owners producing inventory. The Makerspace is a great low-overhead way to test or fulfill product runs.
